Coromandel & Hauraki Scenic Flight

Enjoy a scenic helicopter flight over Auckland City and across to 0the white sane beaches and coastlines of the iconic Coromandel.

A unique scenic flight riding in a helicopter to view some of the North Islands pristine beaches and famous scenic landmarks.

Depart from Heletranz Heliport and fly out towards the crater of dormant Rangitoto – Auckland’s largest volcano, which last erupted approximately 550 years ago. Viewing tranquil Waiheke Island you’ll head towards the Coromandel Peninsular, leaving the hustle and bustle of Auckland City behind as you cross over the ranges towards Kennedy Bay and track east where you will view the beaches of Matarangi, Kauotunu, Matarangi and Opito Bay.

Access Cathedral Cove, one of New Zealand’s most internationally famous beaches, provides stunning panoramic views of the seemingly untouched coastal world. Typically only accessible by hike or boat. Where you will see the iconic rock archway from the sky along with other ‘must see’ beaches of the Mercury Bay region.

Then you’ll head back towards Auckland City viewing the many Islands of the Hauraki Gulf. The Sky Tower will come into sight as you pass over Auckland City, with a bird’s eye view of the Viaduct and Eden Park.

Turn back towards the heliport as you cross the Habour Bridge viewing Devonport Naval Base and Takapuna.
