Waitomo & Rotorua

Enjoy a scenic helicopter flight from Heletranz Heliport, Auckland viewing the rugged black sand beaches of the West Coast, as you follow the coastline down to Raglan, before turning inland to land at Waitomo Caves.

Your Waitomo Glow worm Caves, Guided Trip takes you down into the caves, onto a boat, where you float through caves lit with Glow Worms as well as an excellent display of Stalactite and Stalagmite structures. 45 minute guided tour.

Re-board your waiting helicopter to fly over farmland and the Wai O Tapu Thermal area before landing at Rotorua.

Afternoon at leisure in Rotorua for optional activities, we suggest:
Whakarewarewa – The Living Thermal Village (mud pools & geysers)
Rainbow Springs – Kiwis and Wildlife
Agrodome – Unique Farm Experience
Redwoods Forest – Treewalk or Forest Experience

You will need to take a taxi between attractions and to/from helicopter landing site. You will have roughly 3 hours to spend in Rotorua before you re-board you relicopter and depart Rotorua for the direct scenic flight back to Auckland to land at the Heletranz Heliport around 5.30pm.
