The flight covers Auckland City, the Waitakere Ranges and some of New Zealand’s most rugged coastline and wild surf beaches. The Coast to Coast Adventure flight flies from Albany over Kumeu and Huapai to Bethells (Te Henga) Beach, where we turn south to follow the coast for breath-taking views of surf-pounded black sand beaches and volcanic cliffs with jagged rocks and caves. You’ll see why Auckland’s West Coast is one of New Zealand’s most popular locations for the international film industry.

We continue over the beautiful bush clad Waitakere Ranges and water reservoirs hidden within, and almost to the mouth of the Manukau Harbour where your helicopter leaves primordial New Zealand behind, toward the spectacular central city area. Fly over iconic Auckland landmarks including Downtown Auckland, Viaduct Harbour and past the Sky Tower, before tracking across the Waitemata Harbour to the Devonport Naval Base, North Head and out to view the crater of Rangitoto Island before returning to the heliport.

Scenic Flights are coordinated flights so smaller bookings may be grouped with other passengers. If only two passengers are booked on the flight this will take place in our Robinson R44 Helicopter. Co-ordinate with another group or contact our team to upgrade your helicopter.
