The best memories are shared with friends – so get your besties out of the group chat and on to a helicopter to indulge in the treats and spoils of Waiheke Island. Including scenic flights, an Oyster Masterclass, 2 course lunch, and wine tasting at two vineyards.
Depart Heletranz Heliport and enjoy a spectacular scenic helicopter flight viewing Rangitoto and Motutapu Islands, before landing at Reeves Airfield, Waiheke Island.
On arrival you will be greeted byAnanda Tours and taken to your vehicle, for your privately guided tour of Waiheke Island. On the way, stunning scenery is around every corner, and you will be entertained by your guide’s commentary on the history, geography, culture, people and produce of Waiheke.
Arrive at The Oyster Inn and enjoy a glass of champagne before taking part in the Oyster Masterclass. The Oyster Inn is owned by renowned celebrity chef, Josh Emmet. During this masterclass you will learn all about preparing and serving delicious, local Te Matuku Oysters. You will get to try 3 different variations; Natural mignonette, Dressed: chilli sambal, chives, & Battered: wasabi mayonnaise.
Enjoy a 2 course lunch at The Oyster Inn- the group can choose from either Starter & Main OR Main & Dessert. Any extras are to be paid for directly. This award-winning restaurant and small boutique hotel features a delicious, predominantly seafood-based menu and as its name suggests the island’s freshest oysters. Enjoy spectacular gulf views over a relaxed lunch on their veranda.
Next your vehicle will collect you from Oyster Inn, to visit either Stonyridge Vineyard or Tantalus Estate for wine or craft beer (tantalus only) tasting.
Then it’s on to the next location – Mudbrick Vineyard’s wine tasting room! Set amongst beautiful gardens with spectacular views looking across the Waitemata Harbour to Auckland city, Mudbrick offers a range of wines to taste including locally-grown Viognier, Chardonnay, Syrah and Bordeaux varieties, as well as several aromatic wines from Marlborough.
The day wraps up with a transfer to Matiatia Wharf to board Fullers ferry service (tickets included) and your group will cruise back to downtown Auckland. OR
For an additional cost, you can meet your pilot at Reeves Airfield for a helicopter flight back to Heletranz Albany Heliport.
